Sentiero dei frutti perduti di Alfero
The Sentiero dei frutti perduti di Alfero is a heritage orchard that is part of the Rete dei Frutteti della Biodiversità in Emilia-Romagna. The Cesena area is mostly flat land, traditionally given over to orchards, vineyards and cereal crops, while Verghereto has the highest concentration of organic farms in Romagna. This tradition, and the bond with the land and its fruit, led to the creation of this trail, especially popular in spring and summer.

- The trees on the Sentiero dei frutti perduti share the same genetic heritage as the oldest fruit trees in the Valle del Savio.
- The trail runs alongside the Alberello stream and passes a restored historic mill that still grinds grain and chestnuts.
