Museo di Maioliche
The Museo di Maioliche is in fact a permanent exhibition set up inside the Rocca Malatestiana of Montefiore Conca (opens in a new window). It consists of a collection of maiolica pottery found in the castle, among the finest expressions of Malatesta-era ceramic art. Decorated jugs and basins, cups and vessels adorned with geometric motifs in ochre, yellow, blue and copper green. A small treasure of around a hundred pieces, fully recovered in the early 2000s.
Good to know
- It is the first museum in the province of Rimini to be built around finds unearthed on the exhibition site itself.
- The Rocca Malatestiana that houses the exhibition stands at 385 m above sea level.
