Borgo Torricella

A well-preserved medieval hamlet, with monuments such as the town gate and a beautiful 16th-century church that once served as a castle.

Torricella is a hamlet of Novafeltria; its village is a fine example of a medieval hamlet, with well-preserved monuments and places as unusual as they are striking. Borgo Torricella lies on the left bank of the river Marecchia and, alongside the classic features such as the town gate and a beautiful 16th-century church that once served as a castle, it is also home to a monument like no other.
This is the Ara Sacrificale: a rock-cut structure formed from a boulder with two basins and other semi-spherical hollows carved into it, thought to have been used for pagan rites.

Conformance status

The site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. Conformance is partial: the checks made so far cover the code and the colours, and they do not replace testing with people who rely on assistive technology. Known limits are listed below.

How this statement was prepared

Self-assessment by the people who build the site, last updated on 1 September 2026. This is not the statement that the Italian AgID guidelines require of public bodies, which Romagna.net is not: it is a commitment we make anyway.
