Castello due Torri (Scorticata)

The Castello due Torri (Scorticata) stands in the territory of Torriana (a hamlet of Poggio Torriana) and is one of the fortresses used by the Malatesta family in the 15th century to defend against outside invasions, thanks to the excellent view over the Valmarecchia and Verucchio.
Some documents trace the building's construction back to the 9th century; the perimeter walls are said to have stretched for a thousand metres, with 35 rooms and as many fireplaces inside. Most of the original structures have collapsed, but the gate with its two round towers, much of the keep (the main tower) and a cistern remain intact.

Conformance status

The site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. Conformance is partial: the checks made so far cover the code and the colours, and they do not replace testing with people who rely on assistive technology. Known limits are listed below.

How this statement was prepared

Self-assessment by the people who build the site, last updated on 1 September 2026. This is not the statement that the Italian AgID guidelines require of public bodies, which Romagna.net is not: it is a commitment we make anyway.
