Santarcangelo di Romagna lies just a few kilometres from Rimini and is a charming town that keeps the typical layout of a fortified medieval hill village, with the Rocca Malatestiana towering above the Giove hill. It's also a mysterious town, since beneath its streets lie ancient hypogea of very old origin, carved out of sandstone. Legend also has it that the name of Sangiovese wine originated right here.
This tour explores one of the town's most striking private caves, opened exclusively for the organisers, before moving on to a tasting of local products accompanied by the inevitable piadina and a glass of wine.
