Montefeltro by e-bike

E-bike excursion with a traditional lunch

This e-bike excursion crosses several charming hill villages of the Montefeltro, such as Pietrarubbia, Frontino and Lupaiolo: a genuine immersion in the nature and history of these places, offering beautiful, little-visited scenery.
At the end of the trip there's time for a lunch based on typical Montefeltro produce. A local guide accompanies the group.
Other striking places that are part of the Montefeltro include Pennabilli, home to many works by the poet Tonino Guerra, and San Leo, known for the most imposing fortress in the whole area.

Schedule and useful information

• Distance: about 25 km. Elevation gain: about 500 m. Route: easy, partly on unpaved roads, partly on minor asphalt roads.
• Equipment required: sports clothing, shoes with non-slip soles, padded shorts if possible, a backpack with a waterproof jacket and a change of T-shirt, a water bottle (at least 1 litre per person), helmet compulsory. Minimum age: 10.
• Meeting at 9:00 in Frontino. Meet the local guide, bike handover, saddle adjustment and briefing on using the pedal-assisted bicycle. Departure for the circular route. Return to Frontino, bike handover and lunch based on typical produce.
• If the route is not deemed safe, it may be changed without notice, at the guide's sole discretion. In case of severe bad weather, the excursion will be postponed.
• The price varies according to the number of participants.
• Duration about 5 hours.
• The latest generation of pedal-assisted mountain bikes (e-bikes) lets you choose how much effort you want to put in, and allows even less experienced cyclists to reach hilltop villages. The e-bikes, provided during the excursion, are full-suspension. A minimum level of fitness is required, along with the ability to ride a bike on unpaved roads with short uneven stretches.
