Piazza della Libertà e Torre dell'Orologio

Piazza della Libertà is the main square of Bertinoro. On this square stand both the Colonna dell'Anella and the Palazzo Ordelaffi, the town's municipal seat. Paved in stone, Piazza della Libertà has one side open to a view over the Romagna plain, stretching from Bologna to Rimini. Beside the Palazzo Ordelaffi rises the Torre dell'Orologio, restored on several occasions: in 1599 it was shortened by half its height; in 1789 the wrought-iron balcony was built along with the niche housing the protectress of Bertinoro (the Madonna del Lago) and in 1934 the seventeenth-century clock was replaced with the current one. The tower today houses some of the town's council offices.

Accessibility statement

Romagna.net should be usable by anyone, with any tool: keyboard, screen reader, magnification, phone. This page says where we actually stand, without rounding up.

Conformance status

The site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. Conformance is partial: the checks made so far cover the code and the colours, and they do not replace testing with people who rely on assistive technology. Known limits are listed below.

How this statement was prepared

Self-assessment by the people who build the site, last updated on 1 September 2026. This is not the statement that the Italian AgID guidelines require of public bodies, which Romagna.net is not: it is a commitment we make anyway.
