Cattolica
Cattolica, the "queen of the Adriatic", lies on the border with the Marche, along the ancient via Flaminia that linked Rome to Rimini, a sign of its importance as a town of the empire. Cattolica has a strong seafaring tradition and is still known for fishing and farming clams, called poveracce in Romagna. It is home to the largest aquarium on the Adriatic coast and is one of the main destinations on the Romagna coast.
