Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli
A round of the MotoGP World Championship and the Superbike World Championship, this is a spectacular circuit whose corners and straights are known the world over.
The Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli was built in the 1970s to fuel and satisfy Romagna's passion for motorsport. From the 1990s onwards the circuit was used for international races, eventually becoming a round of the MotoGP World Championship (the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix) and the Superbike World Championship. The circuit is 4,226 m long and features several spectacular corners, such as the Curva della Quercia and the Curva del Tramonto.

- The design and construction of what was then the Circuito Internazionale Santa Monica were overseen by Enzo Ferrari.
- In 1988 it hosted two episodes of the classic television show “Giochi senza frontiere”.
- It was originally named Circuito Internazionale Santa Monica, after the hamlet of Misano Adriatico where it is located. In 2006 it became the Misano World Circuit, and in 2012 it was dedicated to Marco Simoncelli, the Romagnol rider who died on the track at Sepang in 2011. Marco Simoncelli is also honoured by the Museo Marco Simoncelli - La storia del Sic and the Monumento Marco Simoncelli "Ogni Domenica", both located in Coriano, 10 km from the circuit.
