Museo Mulino Sapignoli

An old mill, the millstones, the transformation of water power: in this museum, science, identity and work come together in fascinating ways.

The Museo Mulino Sapignoli is a mill where visitors can see up close the old machines used to grind grain (the millstones) and the network of mills of the Valmarecchia. Waterways and horses, the transformation of hydraulic power into mechanical energy: in this museum, science, identity and work come together, showing processes we now take for granted.

Good to know

  • The Museo Mulino Sapignoli is located in Poggio Torriana.
  • The upper floor of the building houses the Biblioteca comunale Pio Campidelli, with 11,000 volumes on the history of the area and specific publications on mills and milling.

The site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. Conformance is partial: the checks made so far cover the code and the colours, and they do not replace testing with people who rely on assistive technology. Known limits are listed below.

How this statement was prepared

Self-assessment by the people who build the site, last updated on 1 September 2026. This is not the statement that the Italian AgID guidelines require of public bodies, which Romagna.net is not: it is a commitment we make anyway.
