Museo Nazionale del Motocliclo

The only museum of its kind in Italy, the Museo Nazionale del Motociclo in Rimini has been running since 1993 and brings together 260 "two-wheelers" that tell the story of this vehicle. From legendary Italian motorcycles (Guizzi, Frera, Stucchi) to the most famous foreign marques (Harley Davidson, Scott, Norton, Indian), taking in sidecars and scooters right through to grand prix bikes, the collection covers 55 brands.

The exhibition traces the story of the motorcycle along this route: the pioneers' bikes, models from between the two wars, sidecars, scooters, grand prix motorcycles, post-war utility production, motorcycles designed and built in the Rimini area, and two-wheelers from the 1970s.

• The museum holds a number of rare, hard-to-find vintage pieces, such as the legendary Werner, a French two-wheeler and the first motorcycle in history.
• The museum houses the 1937 Moto Guzzi 500 GTV that once belonged to the artist Antonio Ligabue,
• Over 10,000 vintage manuals and handbooks are kept here, a real treasure trove for anyone wanting to restore their own motorcycle by tracing the specifications of the original models.
• Every year the museum organises a swap meet at the Fiera di Rimini for enthusiasts and collectors of vintage motorcycles.
