Casa Rossa Alfredo Panzini
This is the house where the writer Alfredo Panzini spent his summers, and where he wrote many of his works. Today it is open to the public for visits and cultural events.
The Casa Rossa Alfredo Panzini is one of the cultural landmarks of Bellaria, a three-storey building (one floor below ground) that was the home of Alfredo Panzini. The writer spent his summers in the Bellaria countryside, writing and meeting fellow writers and poets. The house was opened to the public in 2007 and is made up of a main building and three adjoining cottages, one of which served as an artist's studio, a place for reflection, a writing room and guest quarters.

- Born in 1863 in Senigallia, and a Riminese by adoption, Alfredo Panzini devoted his whole life to fiction and essay writing. His works are grounded in his direct relationship with people on the margins of society: farmers, fishermen and ordinary people.
- Next to the Casa Rossa is the Parco Alfredo Panzini.
- Panzini's house is called "Rossa" ("Red") because of the colour of its outer plaster, unchanged since it was built in 1906.
- In 1917, after the retreat of Caporetto, the house was requisitioned by the authorities and served as a shelter for a group of refugees from the Veneto.
Other information
The Biblioteca Comunale of Bellaria (Via Guidi Paolo, 108) holds the Panzini archive, made up of correspondence between Panzini and the leading cultural figures of the time, including the poet Giovanni Pascoli, a native of the nearby San Mauro Pascoli.
