Torre civica (Torre campanaria)

The Torre Civica stands next to the Cattedrale di San Leone, a short distance from Palazzo Mediceo and the Museo di Arte Sacra. Built around the year 1000, it has a square structure, although the layout inside is circular; this means it was built to enclose something else, almost certainly an older tower. It served a defensive function: it is said that in times of danger the bishops and canons of the nearby cathedral would come here to hide.

Accessibility statement

Romagna.net should be usable by anyone, with any tool: keyboard, screen reader, magnification, phone. This page says where we actually stand, without rounding up.

Conformance status

The site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. Conformance is partial: the checks made so far cover the code and the colours, and they do not replace testing with people who rely on assistive technology. Known limits are listed below.

How this statement was prepared

Self-assessment by the people who build the site, last updated on 1 September 2026. This is not the statement that the Italian AgID guidelines require of public bodies, which Romagna.net is not: it is a commitment we make anyway.
