Palazzo Mediceo is an elegant Renaissance palace, built between 1517 and 1523. During that period San Leo was conquered by the Ricasoli, an old Florentine aristocratic family.

Palazzo Mediceo is an elegant Renaissance palace, built between 1517 and 1523. During that period San Leo was conquered by the Ricasoli, an old Florentine aristocratic family who had this palace built in the Tuscan style: spacious reception rooms around a central courtyard, with a plaque bearing the lily above the entrance door.
Palazzo Mediceo stands in the central square of San Leo, near the Pieve and the Duomo, and houses the Ufficio Turistico - Iat (on the ground floor) and the Museo di Arte Sacra on the first floor.
